EUREKA, Mo. - Hidden Valley Ski Resort is preparing for another busy season, even without major snow yet in the St. Louis region. The resort is working diligently to prepare for their season’s opening later this month. They keep them in large piles that face all odds in warmer weather. Trio sneaks into abandoned Workhouse, gets trapped in cell He says the snow is resilient against rain and warmer temperatures. The key to keeping snow intact, to prevent melting on warmer days, is making a lot of snow in advance, especially on days when the temperatures drop. The foundation for snow to stick around even when the air is warm is a good, solid base.Santora says, “The more snow that we can make, the better. Last year we had over four feet of snow in the base of our resort, so even when we do see those ...

Charles should remove Harry and Meghan’s Sussex titles over book, says leading UK paper

The editorial board for the U.K.’s “newspaper of record,” The Times, said this week that King Charles III should consider stripping his son and daughter-in-law, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, of their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles, following the publication of “Endgame,” a highly critical book about the monarchy, written by an author known as their “unofficial mouthpiece.”While Harry and Meghan deny any “affiliation” with the book by Omid Scobie — through anonymous leaks to the media — the Times editorial board said it is “still reasonable to presume that the Sussexes at the very least may have given their blessing to Scobie’s new collection of largely unsubstantiated Windsor-bashing allegations.”“Far from seeking the quiet life and reconciliation they claim to desire, it looks instead as if Harry and Meghan are inflicting maximum public reputational damage on their relatives and the institut...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Wednesday unveiled his new HIV/AIDS strategy to end the more than 40-year-old epidemic, calling for a renewed focus on vulnerable Americans — including gay and bisexual Black and Latino men, who his administration says are too often stigmatized even as they are disproportionately affected. The new strategy, which declares racism a “public health threat,” was released on the annual commemoration of World AIDS Day. It is meant to serve as a framework for how the administration shapes its policies, research, programs and planning over the next three years. But Biden acknowledged that the country still needs to work to destigmatize HIV/AIDS and noted that LGBT and racial minority groups have “endured the brunt” of the epidemic that’s killed more than 36 million worldwide, including 700,000 Americans.“I want to make sure that everyone in the United States knows their HIV status, and everyone with HIV receives high-quality care and treatment tha...
